motto: “try everything”

Dr. Jamie Anastas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery and in the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her PhD at the University of Washington studying WNT signaling in cancer and her postdoctoral studies at Boston Children's Hospital where she developed combination therapies for pediatric brain tumors. Jamie spends a lot of time pipetting when she probably should be writing grants.

No single mentoring approach is the right one for every individual. Dr. Anastas strives to work with trainees to identify their unique needs and strengths, help them develop career and professional goals, and support them in their efforts to achieve those goals.
