Dr. Rebecca Murdaugh joined the Anastas lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2021. She completed her Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine studying histone variant regulation in adult hematopoietic stem cells and found that the H3.3 chaperone Hira restrains erythroid-biased differentiation.

Rebecca is identifying new combinations of drugs to treat pediatric glioma and exploring strategies to improve immunotherapeutic targeting of glioma cells.
